Rime
Description:
The Rime di Dante are, together with the Canzoniere di Petrarca, the most important and the most beautiful poetic collection of our Middle Ages. Most of the compositions are of love theme, but there are also songs and philosophical-moral sonnets that anticipate the Convivio and the Comedy. On the one hand, Dante inherited the repertoire of medieval conventions and, on the other, emancipating himself from the literary clichés of his time and opening paths destined to have ample fortune, he anticipates orientations that will be characteristic of modern poetry. 678 pages, 20cm
